OUR MISSION

At Higher , inspired by the scripture 'I press toward the mark for the prize of the HIGH calling of God in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 3:14), we are dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve holistic well-being Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically. We aim to inspire and equip our community to lead healthy, purposeful, and fulfilling lives.

A COMMUNITY OF DISCIPLES PRESSING TOWARDS THE MARK OF A HIGH CALLING IN CHRIST

VISION & VALUES

OUR VISION

HOSPITALITY

At Higher, we believe everyone is welcome to find belonging, no matter where they are in life—whether they’re searching, skeptical, faithful, or have drifted away. Belief isn’t a barrier to community. Our doors and hearts are open because we have been welcomed in by Christ Himself, and we extend that same warmth and acceptance to all.

PRESENCE

In a world of distractions, Higher is committed to being present and engaged. We stand alongside our friends, neighbors, and community members—believers and non-believers alike. Inspired by Jesus, who meets us where we are, we walk together toward growth, healing, and a renewed life.

HOPE

We hold firm that no person, family, or community is beyond hope. This conviction isn’t based on optimism alone but is rooted in faith in the One who conquered death. At Higher, we’re unwavering in this belief, standing alongside each other and our community as we rely on the Hope-Giver, even through struggle.

PURPOSE

We believe that each person’s journey, passions, and struggles are divinely orchestrated to serve a greater purpose. When surrendered to Jesus, these elements come together in powerful ways. At Higher, we find joy in seeing people realize that they were created for a purpose holistically (physically, mentally,& spiritually), uniquely designed to impact their lives and the world around them.

WHAT WE BELIEVE...

...We believe that all creation was made good, yet it fell into brokenness through humanity's disobedience. Creation now exists in a state of both beauty and brokenness—evident in every aspect of life. We see it in the splendor of a sunrise and the damage of pollution, the warmth of friendship and the ache of loneliness. The wounded goodness of creation is all around us, woven into our daily experiences.

Yet, God did not leave His creation in this fractured state. Throughout history, God has been actively working to restore His creation, reaching out through covenants, prophets, promises, and ultimately through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God’s saving and healing work continues with the sending of the Holy Spirit, who lives in and through those who follow Jesus.

Today, this work of restoration is alive in and through us as we follow Jesus. We see His transformative work within ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools—in every part of our daily lives. While we look forward to the day when Jesus returns to make all things new, fully healing creation, we strive to be a community that offers a glimpse of that final renewal in the present. Through our lives and actions, we desire to reflect the restoration that God is bringing to His creation.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

GOD
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinct yet co-equal and co-eternal, unified as one. This Triune nature is foundational to our understanding of God. (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)

JESUS
Jesus Christ is God the Son, fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and died on the cross, atoning for our sins through His sacrifice. He rose from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory. (John 1:1,14; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5)

THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, convicts, regenerates, and indwells believers, empowering them for a life in Christ. The Spirit comforts, teaches, and leads believers into truth. (John 14; 16:8–11; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:12–14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18)

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the authoritative Word of God, inspired, infallible, and inerrant in its original writings, serving as the final authority in all doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

MAN
Created in God’s image, humanity fell through disobedience. Our redemption is found solely in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)

SALVATION
Salvation, made possible through Jesus’ death and resurrection, is a gift of grace through faith, not by our works. It is available to all who place their faith in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Hebrews 9:22)

TWO SACRAMENTS
Water Baptism - Baptism, commanded for all believers, symbolizes new life in Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)

The Lord's Supper - We observe communion as a reminder of Christ's sacrifice. (Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 11:23-25)

THE CHURCH
The Church is the global and local community of believers who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, spread the Gospel and support one another. (Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 1:22)

THE FUTURE
Jesus Christ will return, establishing His Kingdom. Unbelievers will face judgment, while believers will enjoy eternity with God. (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 21:1-5)
